His father,Aulus, was the previous general of Ethaia, though he died when Marcus joined the Academy. However, he had managed to show Marcus what it meant to be a real dragon rider and blessed him with noble spirit and character. His mother, Victoria, a dragon rider and a sorcerer, died a few years after his father. They had loved Marcus to no end and made his childhood great.

Marcus Sextius Sorrow was born to Aulus and Victoria during the night of December 30th, while a huge storm occured. Marcus' cries could be heard above the raging storm and the thunders that hit the earth. It was no surprise to the pair, as they instantly knew that the boy was a sorcerer, controlling electricity due to the genes from his mother. Aulus was the general of the army of Ethaia and Victoria was a dragon rider. The pair loved their child to no end, and they were the best parents one could have.
Marcus was an only child, though he wasn't spoiled. From a very young age, he was taught how to master a sword from his father and how to use magic from his mother. Victoria was a water sorcerer, and found it hard to train the boy, who desperately tried to prove to his parents that he was worthy. It wasn't until the age of 5 that Marcus learned how to produce electricity, and his parents were thrilled. Aulus always had a feeling that his son was going to surpass him and become a dragon rider, and so it was.
The dragons of the pair mated and as soon as Marcus touched the white egg, it hatched. Marcus was 12 years old back then. However, fate had other plans for the family. At the age of 17, Marcus was about to enter the academy, however a sudden attack of thivea ruined the perfect moment for the family. His father never returned from that attack, and two years later, Marcus was informed that his mother had died too.
The years passed and Marcus graduated from the academy with flying colours. Every day that passed, Marcus became a better dragon rider and a better sorcerer. Now, Marcus is the new general, and a great sorcerer. He still has to lose a battle, though he doesn't know what the future has in store for him.

Marcus is a sorcerer and can control electricity. He can produce thunders from his fingers, shock waves and control thunderstorms. He also knows many spells, thus being able to protect himself, attack or even kill without uttering a single word.

You are talking to me? Who are you that I must answer? Oh, I see. I was born 21 years ago at the touch of my master, Marcus. I hadn't been waiting for long I guess, seeing as a few days after I was born into an egg Marcus touched it and I hatched. My parents were great dragons, and I am very proud of their achievements. I was trained as an infant never to show fear and to protect my master at all times. Marcus and I have been together since the time that I hatched and we share a special bond. He always looked after for me and I did the same for him. Marcus taught me how to fly with the help of his dad and I learned how to spit fire on my own. I am capable of spitting venom too. We joined the Academy soon afterwards only to find that both or fathers were dead. Well, it only made me stronger i guess and more ambitious than ever. We excelled at the Academy, both of us. When we're together nothing can stop us. After graduating from the Academy I joined him in all of his missions and before I could let the feeling sink in, Marcus became the general. I felt exhilarated. My first battle soon took place and even though I was small back then, we made it alive. My father would have been proud. Many years have passed since that day, and every day I'm getting bigger and stronger. All I can say is that I demand respect. I deserve it. Now I'm one of the biggest dragons out there, and certainly quite terrifying. You wouldn't want to cross me. My roar can be heard across the mountains and most dragons kneel at my feet, enemies most of them.
