The Swift Library

This libraray was named for John Swift, philanthropist extraordinaire, because upon his death he left not only a great deal of money for its creation but also many rare books, pamphlets and other assorted works to get it started. The library was originally a wide, two story building that was more empty than full; now, it has been expanded a half a dozen times and can still barely contain all of the books inside. For a scholar, it is an absolutely decadent place.
