FULL NAME , Alexei Morgan Keiss-Drystan
NICKNAME , Alexei, Alex
SPECIES , Sorcerer
AGE , Twenty-two
BIRTHDAY , April Tenth
HEIGHT , Five foot six
BODY TYPE , Slender, tall, athletic
ALLIANCE , Neutral
HOMETOWN , Estium
PROFESSION , Dragon Rider; though you could currently call her a Thief and/or Hand-for-Hire.
SEXUALITY , Heterosexual
APPEARANCE ,
Having once worked as a Dragon Rider for Eithaia, Alexei was well off and often bought clothes made for her slender figure and curves. They weren't exactly extravagant, because she wasn't willing to spend money on expensive clothes that would soon get ruined, but they suited her. Of course, because of her current situation, she doesn't exactly buy nice clothes anymore. Alexei prefers to keep it simple by wearing this, which allows her to fit in as a local, but is also comfortable for to wear.[/BLOCKQUOTE]

SO, WHAT ARE YOU INTO?
Freedom; found in the form of flying, majority of the time. I like to just climb onto Absalom's back and take off. It helps me clear my thoughts and make important decisions, but not only that, when I'm in the air with the wind hitting my face, it feels as if I myself am flying without the help of my dragon, and I feel lighthearted. Other than that, freedom comes in the way of no rules. I hate rules.
Money; a guilty pleasure. Paper, gold, silver, copper, diamonds, rubies, or whatnot. Whatever color or material it comes in, I like it. It's not that I'm greedy; I'd gladly give up a sum amount to anyone who needs it and I often hand out a fair amount of what I have to the orphan children on the streets; but the point is, money gets you pretty far in life. The stupid upperclass pigs are the ones that really like money. . .and if you know how to trick them, well - I'll let you finish that thought.
Children; they're pure and innocent. No matter the situation they are in, a child is a child and the naivety they often show is something I wish I could have had. Not only that, but the wisdom and knowledge they often share is even more of a surprise, and harder to come by when talking to a person your own age. I will admit I sometimes just go into towns to play with the children I see about, or to talk to them.
Traveling; the world is larger than any man can ever realize. You might have traveled the lands, but what about the oceans? Skies? Caves? There's more to the world than one might think, and I love to explore it. Towns and cities are nice, but once you get out in the wilderness, that's where the real beauty is at.
Navigating; I never get lost, and I have an uncanny sense of direction. It's almost as if, no matter where I am, I know if there's about to be a storm, and I know where to find things in the most harsh of climates. You can't exactly call this navigating, really, but I like directions; and I make my own maps. Also, with the help of Absalom, directions are also easier; give credit where credit is due.
Music; it helps me focus and think. Sometimes I try to train in areas where I can hear music because it clears my mind. Instead of focusing on my thoughts, which can distract me in a fight, I'm more focused on the tune, which has no meaning.
A good fight; I'm a bit of a tomboy, I must admit. While I can usually keep my anger in check, if you cross me, well; I'll admit you're probably in for some trouble. I can hold my own, despite being a 'girl', and I like to spar just for the fun of it.
Mischief; it follows a thief everywhere. While I'm not always a thief by choice, but because of my circumstances, I tend to get into some sticky situations. Of course, there are times where I just like to have a bit of fun and might cause some trouble of my own. . .
Magic; whether it be in a fight, to heal, or just for some play, I love my magic. I like the feel of my muscles working in a different way to control something that, really, shouldn't be controlled It feels like my nerves are tingling with such sweet anticipation, it's almost as if I can taste the magic.
Food; it's yummy, and it's something that people need to survive. What else is there to say? I like food, and I like trying different kinds of food to learn more about an area's culture.
AND WHAT DO YOU HATE?
Hospitals; the last time I was in one, my father passed away. Not a pleasant area for me at all, seeing as I was sitting right at his bedside, holding his hand. Plus, the smells in hospitals are horrible and make me nauseous.
Alcohol; bad experiences. I can stand the stuff that isn't very strong, but let's just say that I can't hold my liquor to begin with. . .therefore causing bad experiences in my life, and thus me hating it. Don't question my motives about it.
Fancy things; parties, dresses, and the likes. Don't like them. Plain and simple. Usually the people that attend such things are the ones that are snotty; and they aren't my cup of tea. I'm liable to get in a fight with them. Dresses? Uncomfortable, that's my reason for disliking them. Anything else? Well, if it's pretty, I'll give it some credit, but that depends on what 'it' is.
Spiders; my natural-born enemies. I kill them. I hate them. They are devil-born incarnates, and they need to be exterminated. Plus, those eight legs that move all at different moments. . .ugh! That's extremely disconcerting!
Cold weather; I get cold easily. I mean, I like snow and rain and such, but after a while it just gets old. Especially when my nose and cheeks start to turn pink and my fingers go and face go numb from the chill of the weather. I like warmth and sunlight and fresh air.
Rules; sorry, I don't follow them. I do what I want to, at the times that I want. All in all, I only look out for myself and Absalom's well-being. Add to that fact that I was once a spy, and have some loyalties to the two different kingdoms. . .well, I'll admit that there are times that I can't be trusted.
Being cooped up; small spaces don't suit me well. Prison cells, closets, tiny rooms - I don't like them. I've had some bad experiences with the first two, and let me tell you, it was even more unpleasant than the experiences I've had with alcohol.
Sickness; my father died from it, of course it's not something I'm going to like! To add to that, whenever I get sick, I become weaker. This means that I'm not performing to my fullest in fighting and flying; and that drives me crazy. Plus, I can tell that whenever I'm sick, Absalom hates having to fly with me because I'm not as focused.
Royalty; stuck-up pricks, that's what they are. If you'd like to prove me otherwise, I want to see you try. Any experiences I've had with them haven't left me impressed. They're all greedy, and they don't understand what it's like to not have everything in the world placed at their feet for the taking.
Sexist people; I don't like to be underestimated. I hate it even more when people underestimate me because I'm a 'girl'. Sex has nothing to do with it. I am a person, just as anyone else - just as a man - and I can perform just like a man. I don't think of myself any higher or lower than anyone around me, but an equal.
OKAY... WELL, WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS?
- Find somewhere I'm welcome (also falls under the category of "Stop running for my life from anyone trying to kill me")
- Have a family
- Become a well-known Dragon Rider
GOOD LUCK, THEN. WHAT ARE YOUR FEARS?
- Claustrophobic
- People I know/care about dying
- No end to the war
YIKES. NOW, LIST TEN CHARACTERISTICS THAT DESCRIBE YOURSELF.
Friendly, easy-going, open-minded, impulsive, spitfire, troublemaker, sarcastic, clever, secretive, competitive

NOW WE'RE GETTING NOSY. TELL ME ABOUT YOUR FAMILY.
Let's start off with my father. His name was Rohan, and he was a respected man in our community. A natural-born leader, my father was always the one that came up with ideas on how to protect our village or come up with ideas to gain people to visit. He claimed himself to be a scientist, and while I don't doubt my father, none of his experiments were ever worthy of being proven by real scientists, and anything he ever built never truly worked. Of course, no one in our village ever looked down upon him, because he was a very outgoing man and has a charisma about him that attracted people like magnets. Unfortunately, after my mother's death, he raised me; refusing anyone's help, but because he overworked himself a lot, he became sick. The hospital was the last place I ever saw any light in his eyes, when I told him the story of me meeting a dragon.
My mother was a beautiful woman, or so I am told. Her name was Yelena. She was an herbalist, and had elf ancestors in her family from very long ago. Of course, that bloodline wore out, but the knowledge of medicine never did. She was unable to save herself, though, when giving birth to me, and ending up dying. My mother also has a brother, my Uncle Gavin, who later took me in.
Lastly, I have two brothers. Abel and Alec. They aren't twins, despite the closeness of their names. Abel is the eldest of the family, and was long gone from home by the time I was born. I only ever met him once. Word has it that he's a wanted criminal, almost like me, and he has a large bounty on his head. I've yet to see a wanted poster for him, but I'm sure if I did, I'd recognize his face. It's hard to miss his bright blue eyes - the only blue-eyed person, besides my mother, in our family. Second-oldest is Alec. I grew up with him for a short time, and we got along well. We bickered, but it was normal sibling bickering. I rather like to think he never minded me getting in his hair (he swore one day I would make him bald, but I denied it). Then, when he grew old enough, he went off to become a knight for Thivea. I'm quite curious as to how he's doing now, if he's just a knight or maybe a Dragon Rider?
SOUNDS INTERESTING. OKAY. NOW, JUST TELL ME EVERYTHING ABOUT YOUR PAST.
Let's start off at the beginning (but I warn you, it won't get extremely interesting until the end). I was born to the parents of Rohan and Yelena in the village of Estium in the month of April. I had two brothers, Abel and Alec. Abel had already moved out of the house by the time I was born, to do what nobody knows, and Alec was around five years older than me. My mother, Yelena, died after giving birth to me, and my father instead switched from being a scientist full-time to part-time so as to take care of Alec and I. The three of us lived pretty peacefully. By the time I turned fifteen, Alec followed in Abel's footsteps and left home, but his intentions were to become a knight. Around this time, my father became deathly sick. Some thing it was from overworking himself to take care of two kids on his own, others say some kind of plague hit him. Whatever it was, it claimed my father's life not a month after he became sick. I was left practically orphaned, my twenty year old brother Alec was serving Thivea and no one could come in contact with him - plus why burden a knight with a young woman? And my eldest brother was presumed to be dead, or a wanted man. Nobody knew where Abel was at.
So, I sat with my dying father in the hospital and told him a story of me meeting a dragon. You see, I'm quite positive that 'trouble' runs in my family. I was exploring the deepest parts of the woods of Valiexo one day, and I just happened to slip. I found myself sliding down a rocky hill and landing on a ledge that overlooked a lake. Not far from where I landed, some wolves were tearing up the carcass of some dead animal. The wolves looked at me, saw fresh and easy prey, and started to close in. On a ledge, there's hardly anywhere to go. Before I knew it, I found myself scared and stepping back, edging closer to the ledge. Then, suddenly, a head appeared from behind the dragon. It almost looked like an overgrown snake, but once reality sunk in, I realized it was actually a dragon, and reality took me even further by convincing me it was going to eat me. Fortunately, it didn't; it just scared away the wolves, who realized that a bigger foe was not in their agenda. They ran off, and the dragon claimed the carcass for itself. It gave me one look, before disappearing back to wherever it had come from on the mountain. With this story, I got my father to smile, because he had always wanted to see a dragon in his lifetime. After that, my uncle came to claim me and take me to Ethaia since no family was left in Thivea.
In Ethaia, my Uncle Gavin taught me everything I needed to know. You could say he's the reason I'm so tricky, and why I became a thief. He didn't exactly treat me with respect, but he didn't look down upon me, either. One I was old enough, I joined the Ethaian Dragon Rider Academy and picked my dragon. It was rather easy to match me up with one, seeing as the egg that I found reminded me of the dragon that saved my life. When I touched Absalom's egg, I had a sense of deja vu. Soon, I passed the exam to become an official Rider on my second try (they thought the way that Absalom and I rode was to "aggressive" compared to what they were used to, and needed a bit of work in the control area). Of course, Absalom believes that isn't true, and he also believes that we should have graduated on the first try, not the second. But he was just as happy with the second, since he also believed we were too good to deny.
There's only one problem with being born in Thivea and growing up there for fifteen years, then switching over to Ethaian. You can't change your views as easily. I was assigned the group Contego after I passed my exam, but the way they ride dragons in Ethaia is different than Thivea. Not only that, but political views are completely different. Also, I hate wars. So, after a few years on Contego, I decided to proclaim myself a spy. I collected information about Ethaia and all I could learn about it, in hopes to somehow supply Thivea with all that I learned. Not knowing that I couldn't even trust my own friends though, for some of them knew I came from Thivea originally despite having loyalties to my uncle and others in Ethaia, I went out to party with them one night. Unfortunately, they gave me something a little too strong which I couldn't handle, and I ended up spilling the beans (hence me hating alcohol now). Of course, they did have to pry it out of me. I didn't just blab my entire plans to them after taking one drink. Still, they called in for some guards and I was taken to a jail cell for the night. By the time I sobered up in the morning, I had an audience with the king that was soon to happen. Absalom, though, hadn't gotten caught, and broke me out of my holding cell. Since then, we've given up our title of Ethaian Dragon Rider and escaped into Thivea. Not that we stay put for long.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR EQUIPMENT
While Alexei doesn't wear much armor, she does have plates on her shoulder, and underneath her top in the chest area to protect from any fatal blows to the heart. Along with that, she carries a katana on her waist that she uses in only the most dire of situations, when her magic is low, or when she can't use her fists and kicks to solve a problem. Along with that, Alexei carries a magical staff, usually on her back, to harness her magic and attack that way. She is strong enough to use her hands, sometimes, though.
WHAT SPELLS DO YOU KNOW?
Alexei only focuses on the use of one element: water. She has, on the other hand, dabbled in the element of fire, and knows a few simple techniques on how to control fire, since it's the polar opposite of water. Still, she mainly focuses on using water. She can bend it to her will, and draw it out of the atmosphere for use. Along with this, she is able to use bodies of water as a weapon, but this takes more energy out of her and she doesn't do it unless she's fighting many enemies. Even then, she tends to use her sword over her staff when fighting many enemies. On her waist Alexei carries a small canteen of water that she doesn't use for drinking, but instead for magical purposes in case she either A) is in any climate where water is scarce, or B) needs to heal. She's talented enough that she can mend bones, though if it is any serious injury she might have more difficulty and might only be able to ease the pain.

OKAY, DRAGON... WHAT ARE YOU ALL ABOUT?
Cocky, sarcastic, stubborn, competitive, protective, caring, quiet, quick-witted, mannerful, mature
I SEE. AND WHAT ABOUT YOUR HISTORY?
I hear other dragons talk about me. They say that I was born in an egg, just like them, but I was found outside their kingdom alone. It is presumed that my mother had been attacked, maybe, by another dragon wanting to claim territory. Everything about my mother dragon is 'presumed', though. Not one person, or dragon for that matter, knows what happened to her or where she came from. Still, I was found, and brought in to the kingdom of Ethaia, and the rest of my duration in the egg was spent in an incubator. Rather unpleasant, I must say, but it withstood it.
Once I finally hatched, I met the person that was chosen to be my rider. She was a young lady, going into her late teens. They called her Alexei. Her name was actually the first thing that I said. After all, most of the teachers or doctors that checked up on me always said her name when the spoke to me, "Alexei will be a wonderful match for you," and so on and so forth, so it was only natural I would repeat her name. After that talking became easier, but, of course, I learned to walk first. Getting used to a tail is hard, but the wings are even harder. Still, once I learned to fly, no one but Alexei could get me out of the air.
Together, Alexei and I started out training. Flying, endurance runs, and even some fire-breathing and venom-spitting (I have to say, spitting venom at people that I didn't like was the highlight of my childhood as a dragon) - of course the venom spitting was frowned upon. . .but who cared? My aiming was accurate. HIt the people I didn't like right on the mark (not deadly hits, of course!) and got in trouble many times for it. Once we became better, we finally started to do some real flying together. But, I like speed, Alexei likes speed, and a lot of our runs didn't end well. Still, we were sure that we could pass our exam as a full-fledged dragon rider.
Until the application came back saying that we were too "aggressive" in our flying. But, no worries, we practiced slowing down and easing up and the second time she sent in her application she was accepted! Then everything went downhill from there after a couple of years, and I had to break unreliable Alexei out of a jail cell an now we're on the run. Still. . .who knew having no rules could ever equal as much fun? Of course, I have to keep Alexei out of trouble all the time.
INTERESTING. NOW, WHAT ABOUT YOUR SKILLS?
Speed and accuracy work well in Absalom's favor. While he's quite strong and uses his strength in attacks sometimes, it's the speed that really throws the enemy off guard. He's too fast for his own good. His large wings carry him high, but his thin, lean, and long body takes him far if he curls his feet in at the right angle. His tail is a bit longer than most of his kind, but only by an inch or two, and he enjoys smashing things with it. He has two horns on his head which he'll ram things with, but he prefers attacking head-on by just using his large claws or his tail.
