NOW WE'RE GETTING NOSY. TELL ME ABOUT YOUR FAMILY.
The three most important people in Ariadne's life is her mother, Nana, and her brother. Her mother worked at an inn as a... well... working woman, if you know what I mean. She was paid to serve the men passing by for the night, and Ari was a product of that. Her mother was kind and as loving as she could be, and would always fight to do everything she could for her. But she was often tired and sick. Her Nana was an elderly woman who did not know her her mother's occupation, but was the mother of the innkeeper, and looked after Ariadne when her mother was ill (she just thought she worked as a barmaid... the innkeeper kept that from her). Nana was uptight, strict, and always trying to get Ariadne to be a lady. Her brother, Elias, was a year older than her, and her half brother, who inspired the adventurous side of Ari, telling her the stories he heard from the men traveling about, and acting them out with her always as the sidekick. Her mother passed a little over four years ago, and her brother has been missing since the day after. She does not know about his whereabouts.
SOUNDS INTERESTING. OKAY. NOW, JUST TELL ME EVERYTHING ABOUT YOUR PAST.
No one knows quite who's daughter she was. Even the innkeeper swore up and down sometimes she was his, like her brother, but no one ever knew for sure. All they knew was that the barmaid, undercover lady of the night Rochelle just had her second child, and it was a girl. So, everyone accepted Ariadne, then Elisa, as their child. She grew up around the inn in Ethaia, tottling after her strong, lionhearted brother Elias as he led the town's children on "epic adventures of the imagination", listening wide eyed as he told stories under the covers at night. Their mother, needing money to support the children, managed to keep her job since the innkeeper was kind, but the children grew up with humble funds, sharing one bed together in the storage room with the food. Their mother was always ill, but always working, but would always look for a way to buy her children sweeties from time to time, and wouldn't go to work without kissing them goodnight.
Elisa was torn between two worlds, thanks to the mother of the innkeeper Bethany, who the children called Nana. Her brother brought out the 'tomboy' in her, but Nana always stressed feminine graces and poise. She noticed Rochelle's beauty in her daughter, and took it upon herself to culture her. She would always snip at Elisa for not standing up straight, and would drag her right out of the rougher games the boys played. While Elisa was intrigued by the world of teacups and dresses, she also longed to live the tales her brother told. Her brother hated Nana, calling her nosy and an old biddy, among other names, and often spoke of leaving her and leaving there. It only got worse when Elisa hit her teens, worse because Nana started talking about suitors and marriage, and forced these rules harder, hoping to get her married off to a rich man and out of the poverty she was born into. Her mother, sicker than ever, even agreed to let her stay at Nana's house, which her protective brother strongly objected to, but Elisa stayed quiet about, secretly still torn between the two. Her brother would sneak to see her, grumbling about how Nana called him a bad influence and play his windpipe for her until she fell asleep. He declared himself a rebel, saying one day, he'd leave and make a name for himself, become a rogue and meet dragons. It was all talk... until their mother died.
Elisa got the news a week after her eighteenth birthday, and naturally, she was distraught... but even more devastated when her only closest blood known relative went missing. Elias was nowhere to be found the moment the news of her mother's death spread, all that was found being the windpipe, which was given to his sister. Elisa was forced to stay at Nana's, and the rebel that her brother stirred within her with every passing day. Restlessness grew with each bow her Nana tied, with every polite nod she gave and every sip of tea she took. She endured three years of the torture until her Nana excitedly announced she had a suitor coming in the morning to meet her, and he was very interested. That night, she packed a bag and ran, feeling frightened, wondering if her brother had felt the same, taking no map and only her guts and a bag of supplies with her. She never even looked back... there was nothing left for her in Ethaia.
One year later, the girl known as Elisa has since died. She renamed herself Ariadne and tried her best to forget her past, trying to create her own, new life, traveling as a bard and trying to go on the adventures her brother spoke so fondly of. She is quite travel savvy, and has learned, the hard way, to defend herself in all sorts of settings. At twenty two, nothing too huge or life altering has happened... but she's waiting for it. Her brother always said adventure hits those who look for it at the most unexpected times... and she's getting pretty comfortable with her new life as a solo musical act... and with the tense times? Maybe it's about time for change...

TELL US ABOUT YOUR EQUIPMENT[/COLOR]
Two daggers she uses for hunting/defense, and a knife she uses for... whatever else. She possesses no armor, and travels with a sling bag that she always keeps close, filled with food and money and, if she needs it, something to sleep on. She also has some herbs for aid, and on her belt carries one of the daggers and her "windpipe", as her brother called the flute he left behind.
WHAT SPELLS DO YOU KNOW?
She has no magical abilities to speak of.
